The Grand Sierra Resort and Casino (GSR) lawsuit is shaping up to be the largest class action overtime lawsuit in Nevada history. Although the exact amount of damages are yet unknown, employees could be entitled to a portion of an estimated $50 million based on the time they spent working off-the-clock.
The Las Vegas Sun picked up an Associated Press report describing some of the methods GSR used to require employees to perform work duties without pay—essentially employees were not paid for pre- and post-shift work in ways that Plaintiffs allege are against both federal and Nevada state law.
