Associate Attorney

This is a full-time hybrid Associate Attorney role located in Reno, Nevada and South Lake Tahoe. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for handling all aspects of employee-plaintiff litigation including but not limited to conducting legal research, drafting and arguing motions, taking and defending depositions, representing clients in court, and other assigned duties. You will have extensive contact with our clients and defense counsel.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the State Bar of Nevada.
• Strong research, analytical, and writing skills.
• Research and analysis and application of federal and state wage and hour and civil rights laws.
• Ability and desire to take the lead of your assigned cases and work independently, while valuing teamwork and support staff contributions.
• Employment law experience not required; new Bar admittees encouraged to apply.
• Spanish language a plus.

Hours

Semi-flexible; office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday with additional hours expected to meet deadlines. No billable hour component.

Location

Reno, Nevada, Court and Riverwalk District.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

General office environment, very casual and pet friendly. No special physical demands required. Same-day and overnight travel may be required for court appearances and depositions.

Salary

$80K to $100K depending on experience and qualifications. Opportunity for bonus compensation.
