Summary

This is a class action case filed on behalf of school bus drivers of First Student, Inc. for failure to provide rest periods, failure to pay minimum wages, failure to provide accurate wage statements, failure to timely pay all wages due, unfair business practices, and PAGA violations.

Defendant First Student employed Plaintiffs and other similarly situated individuals as non-exempt hourly paid school bus drivers.  Plaintiffs allege that they and other similarly situated employees were required to complete pre- and post-shift work without compensation.  Additionally, Plaintiffs allege that Defendant First Student failed to provide legally mandated rest breaks for its school bus drivers.

The lawsuit seeks compensation for all unpaid hours worked, as well as attorneys’ fees, costs, interest, and damages as provided by law.
