This is a class and representative action case on behalf of hourly-paid employees within the Patient Financial Services department of St. Joseph's Medical Center for failure to reimburse necessary expenses such as internet and phone expenses when working remotely.

This is a class action on behalf of all hourly-paid employees within the Patient Financial Services department of St. Joseph’s Medical Center who were required to work remotely for Defendants in California and were not compensated for their work-related expenses in violation of the labor code. Plaintiff asserts that Defendants regularly failed to reimburse and indemnify her and Class Members for their internet and phone expenses. These expenses were necessarily incurred as a direct consequence of Plaintiff and Class Members’ employment with Defendant. Plaintiff and Class Members seek restitution for their unreimbursed employment expenses, interest, and attorneys’ fees and costs.
