Our law firm is proud to represent Taylor Stubbins in a new class-action lawsuit against Valley Health Systems, alleging violations of pay and overtime laws affecting hourly employees.
The lawsuit claims that the hospital’s timekeeping policy, which rounds clock-in times to the nearest quarter-hour, denies non-exempt hourly workers fair compensation for their hours worked.
Despite advancements in technology that allow for precise time tracking, Valley Health’s policy remains rooted in outdated practices that may unfairly disadvantage employees. The suit also raises concerns about the hospital’s mobile device policy, which requires employees to remain on duty even during their meal breaks.
This case is in its early stages, with motions recently filed to identify and notify potential class members. We believe that there may be approximately 3,000 individuals affected across the health system’s six hospitals.
