Summary

Defendant CoreCivic employed Plaintiff and other similarly situated individuals as non-exempt hourly paid correction and detention officers.  Plaintiff alleges that he and other similarly situated employees were required to complete pre-shift work off-the-clock without compensation.  Additionally, Plaintiff alleges that Defendant CoreCivic failed to provide legally mandated rest breaks for its correction and detention officers.

The lawsuit seeks compensation for all unpaid hours worked, as well as attorneys’ fees, costs, interest, and damages as provided by law.
