This is a class action case filed on behalf of correction and detention officers of CoreCivic of Tennessee, LLC for failure to pay employees for all hours worked, failure to pay minimum and overtime wages, and failure to timely pay all wages due.
Defendant CoreCivic employed Plaintiff and other similarly situated individuals as non-exempt hourly paid correction and detention officers. Plaintiff alleges that he and other similarly situated employees were required to complete pre-shift work off-the-clock without compensation. Additionally, Plaintiff alleges that Defendant CoreCivic failed to provide legally mandated rest breaks for its correction and detention officers.
The lawsuit seeks compensation for all unpaid hours worked, as well as attorneys’ fees, costs, interest, and damages as provided by law.
